The Rootowns

There are three cities nestled in the Roots of the Worldstree; Burl, LongParting and Commons. The Rootowns take advantage of the nature of the Worldstree by building vertically of the cliff-like roots and trunk. The cannot, however, tunnel into the Tree, which is invurnerable and sacrosanct, besides.

Burl

Burl is the Center of Savant Learning, the home of the Final Library, which contains all of Mythology, and the University devoted to the workings of the Universe (as one might guess). Specifically, Acolytes trains here and Masters teach and Record.

LongParting

LongParting is the homebase of the Worldstree's Rangers. LongParting is a kind of informal school, a hub of rumors and information, a area for childrearing and a retirement community. As Rangers can be of any Race, and are notably less dominated by the Naelathe than the Savants, LongParting is very cosmopolitan. Despite this, Rangers have a strong sense of Community and Shared Purpose, and are somewhat distant with Outsiders.

Commons

Commons is the City of Commerce, without a doubt. Its market is open constantly, and features the best assortment Ingredients and Enchantments in all the Land. Goods arrive daily from Celenest, Elaceri, Naelaceron, the Oreads, the Centaur Nations and and the Redhorn Faun tribes. There is an excellent market for Bardic Instruments here, and the only official College of Bards is in Commons. Like LongParting, Commons is extraordinarily cosmopolitan, though it welcomes Strangers and Outsiders, and even features a Savant maintained community for Beyonders from other Myths.
