Fauns have the short, blunt horns of a goat and goatish facial hair. Their hair is either black, brown or auburn, and their pelts match the hair, shading to black on the insides of the thighs. Their eyes are dark. Though their noses are wide, the rest of the face is rather angular.

Fauns are boisterous, basically testosterone poisoned like all Satyrs. When not in pursuit of the fairer sex, they love athletic games, mock battles and carousing. Though horny, a faun would never resort to rape, and a faun known to have done such a thing would be castrated by his fellows. They are in no way gentlemanly or civilized, but they are charming and *very* earnest. They primarily pursue Dryads, but many an Elfmaid claims a Faun paramour.

The homeland of the Fauns is called (unimaginatively) the Faunlands, north of the Worldstree.
