Enchantments are Magical Items created via Lorecraft, as opposed to the Artifacts of ArtCraft. They differ is many ways. Enchantments either have a limited store of Energy or demand Mana from the user. The first kind can be used by anyone, the second only by those with Magical Aptitude (not necessarily Mages, as many Races have this trait). Even the Enchanted Swords and Armor draw fatigue from the User each time Battle is engaged, and thus Martial Artifacts are much preferred.
For the most part, Echantments come in a few, limited forms. The simplest is a Scroll, where by a Spell is recorded in such a way that the Mana and Ingredients are a part of the Ink, so that it can be cast without Augumentation by anyone who knows Thaumatergic, consuming the Scroll in the process. The second most common form is that of Jewelry made of the HighMetals. Enchanted Jewelry can be used by anyone, it's mass slowly diminishing as its power is used up. Mages also create Wands and Staves exist which allow the casting of a Spell but draw Mana from the user, meaning that only those with Magical Aptitude can use them. Wands and Staves, however, last forever. Enchanted Clothing is also used, though it is limited as only Gold can be woven into cloth.
