There are two tribes of Oreads, the Elfpass clan and the Landspine, or Jeweled Skull, clan. Both have the long recurved horns of bighorn sheep, with tawny brown hair and tan pelts with black and white markings. Their eyes are either brown (Elfpass) or yellow (Jeweled Skull).

The Jeweled Skull Oreads are in thick with the hidden Damethearn city in the Landspine Mountains. Though themselves of the Mithril Alliance, some of the Dark Elf paranoia has taken root. They hate outsiders and tolerate no tresspassers. They are also prone to banditry and other unneighborly practices.

Elfpass Oreads are much more civil, though still high strung and hot tempered. However, the have a code of honor and respect the rights of guests who do not abuse their hospitality.
