The Jungles are an area north of Treesland, surrounded by mountains to the west (Dragonpasses) and the North (Sunshield Range), and bordered by the Opaline Ocean to the east. The area is dense with rivers draining from these ranges into the Ocean.

The flora is tropical and thick. The Jungles are named for the continuous flowering of the various trees and vines, and for the everpresent mist rising from the rivers.

The Fu'suliashi (Savage Elves) are the best known and most feared residents, but there are also many Celenes found nowhere else (Ocelots, Tigers, Taseirs and varieties  of Bats).

There are also many tribes of Little People, such as Myrmidons, Nymphs and Slyphs, Pixies, Polypedes, Peepers, Arachnae, and Midges. There are three clans of Myrmidons, the Honey, Acacia and Army Tribes, a variant type of Peeper with poisonous skin secretions and a type of Vespid that lives in symbiosis with certain fig trees that are all unique to the Mistflower area.

Parrots, in particular Macaws, also form one of the largest and oldest civilizations to survive the depredations of the Savage Elves.

This is completely disregarding the Monsters of the Jungles, who abound therein. Chemosits are common, as are Ikonkola, Zombi, Jujus and  ChonChons. not to mention the Ahuizotl and Morou-Ngou.
