The chemosit combines the hindquaters of a hyena with the arms and head of an ape. It also has the wicked clawd, powerful jaws and sharp teeth of the hyena, an  is monstrously strong for its size. It is totally immicable to all Beings and specializes in attacks on the brain. Apparently it considered the brain a delicacy and wished to get to the main course.

Chemosits are nocturnal and (fortunately) solitary. They are at home in the trees, despite their hyena-like hind feet, and will ambush from above whenever possible. They are known to steal into villages at night, making off with a new victim each evening. Entire villages have been abandoned due to a chemosit terrorizing the area. The are most common in the  Mistflower Jungles, but are encountered throughout Treesland.
