Polypedes

Polypedes are the Faerie expression of  centipedes and millipedes. They are two distinct races, called Onefers (centipedes) and Twofers (millipedes).  Onefers are Unseelie, Twofers are Aseelie. Both types curl around their eggs until they hatch and care for their young.

Twofers

Twofer polypedes have compound eyes, antennae, two normal arms on a humanoid torso, a admoninal segment with four insectoid hands with limited grasping ability, followed by many, many body segments, each with four legs. At hatching, they have five body segments and are about 8 inches in length. They molt once every ten years and add another segment (and another inch) until they become adults at about 50 years/10 segments. Adults are about 16 inches. Twofers are somewhat slow, but good natured. They are excellent gardeners, especially of fungi.

Onefers

Onefer polypedes, like Twofers, have compound eyes, antennae and two normal arms. They have huge mouths with extended fangs that drip poison (paralytic). Their upright abdominal segement has two insectoid arms with poor grasping ability. Body segments have two legs each. At birth, they have five segments and are 12" long. They molt every 10 years, adding another segment, until they reach adulthood at 50. Adults are two feet long. They move quickly are are cunning hunters and have a taste for blood.
