Lions are quite different in form from other Celenes, more resembling Centaurs than the standard hybrid Celene form. Counter to the advantages of hexapodality, they completely lack the Knack of Shapeshifting. The have lion bodies, humanoid torsos with claws and bestial faces. Though fearsome warriors, they lack the tirelessness of Wolves or protectiveness of Bears. Physically, they are stand over five feet tall and weigh hundreds of pounds

Lions take more part in the War than other Celenes, as their Leader, the Sphinx, is a Golden Immortal.

There is an occasional Hero born from the Union of a werelioness and the Sphinx. Most races call these beings Were-sphinx.
