All of the Were Races have Generals, the General being the being that most epitomizes that Bestial Form. The General may or may not be associated with his Tribe of Celenes. Some are Great and Powerful Beings, whereas others are extralarge but Normal Animals (note that "normal" animals are unheard of here).
 

The Sphinx

The Sphinx serves as an example of the Generals. He is the Lord of Lions, of course. He is also a great friend of the Sun, and guards the only pass into the Burning Desert from the Thunderfields. Those who seek to pass must answer a Riddle. Failure means either Petrification of being his Guest for Dinner, depending on the Alliance (and Attitude) of the Failed. The Sphinx is on the side of the Gold Faeries, though he takes no personal part in the War other than in defense of his People. Each year the Sphinx takes a bride from his favored people, the Werelions. Their children are Weresphinxes.
