Elathe have pale gray skin with either silver, sky blue or violet eyes and silver, black or silver/black streaked hair. The prefer to wear greys and blacks, always silk, in a formal manner, though they also like Gems.

The Elathe are fond of Flight. Not only are their Houses and Clans named for Birds, but Elathe themselves fly a lot. They Body-Fly (somewhat Gauche), change in Birds, mount Wings or ride Gryphons, but they are an Aeriel Nation. It is impossible to live in many of thier Cities without flight, and there are few or no roads connecting the Cities. Even the smallest villages maintain a stable of Gryphons.

There are two distinct levels of  Society of Elaceri: the ruling Houses and the Clans of the Masses. Whiles all the extended families are named for Birds, the Houses are Raptors, brave Warriors and Rulers, and the lesser Clans are named for lesser Birds. The Ruling Houses have Feather Mantles of great Enchantment to signify leadership. The Clans have less dramatic Enchantments, which may be Lost or Destroyed. The Elathe of particular Clans and Houses are in fact related to thier Totems and can speak with them and often show similar Traits.

The Elathen Nobility are amazingly arrogant. They are Highly Concerned with their Noble Stature and the Honor involved in it. Never-the-less, they never miss an opportunity to further their House or Nation. War is a great Hobby for Nobles, a Proving Ground. As the Elathe are of the Silver Alliance, they have little invested in the War itself, but enjoy honorable Conflict with all Races.

The Clans are much more varied. They are often rather mercantile, and most Elathe are somewhat verbally territorial. Though they do not have written Laws, Elathe have a very complex code of Manners and Society that acts to establish Rank and Position (and exclude Outsiders).

The Cultural Hero of the Masses of Elathe would have to be Mockingbird MorningSong, first of the Bards, who taught his Art to the Clan of which he was a part (MorningSong was a Bird, not an Elf).
