WorldsTree is an odd project. It started as a standard fantasy campaign with Elves and Humans and Knights, etc. I became more interested in the origin of that world's Fantastic Bestiary and its source and began to design it. That project became Worldstree. Worldstree is nascent in a world postGURPS and ubiquitous hypertext, and shows that. A lot is taken from GURPS Fantasy Bestiary, a lot from North American Wildlife books, and a lot left out from hypertext style books.

It is, also, an attempt to define a new way of writing nonfiction. There seems to be at least three types of nonfiction:  references, texts and "infotainment". Since part of the fun in nonfiction is finding out new things, I deliberately hid some of the text herein, with no simple table of contents or list of links. Many of the more interesting parts are at the bottom of a long tree of links, so that the "entertainment" element will last as long as possible.

There are no game stats linked with the text. In fact, there are very few game stats in existence. I find making them boring and since no one has ever actually played in WorldsTree, they have been whole unnecessary. Your comments are appreciated and can be directed to:  mukibear@hotmail.com

PS - this is not intended as a rip-off or plagiarism of Fantasy Bestiary. In fact, it is somewhat of a campaign world for it and thus a tribute.

Okay, here are the out of context links:  The Game Stats:
