Bio
- Born in Taylor, TX.
- Lived with parents in Coupland, TX; Belton, TX; Katy, TX;
Brookshire, TX; Auburn, GA; and Winder, GA. Learned about moving.
- Went to Winder-Barrow High School, Winder, GA. Met future
wife Heather Massey. Learned to play french horn.
- Worked as intern for the Winder News. Learned to type,
develop photos.
- Went to Occidental College in Eagle Rock, CA. Met many
wonderful people. Learned some karate, taught self unix. Left
after three years.
- Returned to Winder, GA. Lived with parents briefly, moved in
with Heather in Athens, GA.
- Did commercial construction (mostly GNC stores) with Heather
and her father. Learned to use cordless drills.
- Brief stint cutting up vegetables for mall chinese
restaurant. Learned to use chinese knife, can cut without
looking.
- Stumbled into Exploration
Resources, got job as tester/documenter for groundwater
information system for the Savannah River nuclear
facility. Learned to write pointless documentation, program in
Perl.
- Bought a bass guitar, played with the Resentments. Learned
to play bass.
- Married Heather, moved into beautiful property in Statham,
GA. Learned about landscape drainage.
- Wrote Java-based map viewer and field design software, spun
off with Bill Fay, Ash Raymond and others into Partner Software, Inc. Learned how to fire my managers.
- Enjoyed good success with Partner; after some years am now
president. Learned just about everything.
- Helped form present rock project, the Dictatortots.
Learned how to drink two pitchers of beer in three hours while
remaining conscious.
